Arilynn has a well-baby doctor visit

03-Oct-11  --  Arilynn had her first well-baby visit since she came home from the hospital. She has done very well in her 6 days of life so far.

First, she has already reached her birth weight, which is 7 pounds, 5 ounces (or 3317 grams). It is common for babies to lose weight in their first couple days, and it was nice to see she has gained back all that she has lost, with no sign of jaundice.

Second, she has already grown a quarter-inch in the last week. It is amazing to see that she is already outgrowing some of her clothes; I know... thus it begins.

We go back next week. This time it will not be so pleasant, as she gets shots.
